Memorable Mothers

Motherhood is divine. Motherhood is sacred. Motherhood is bliss. In this universe not only the human beings but all the living things are blessed by God with this prestigious, joyful status of Motherhood. When I was seriously waiting for God’s blessings to obtain motherhood my residence of three bedroom Bungalow got the pleasure of seeing so many Mothers. Dogs selected my garden to deliver their loving puppies. The flying small, brown sparrows used my bungalow’s  several things such as fans, tube lights, cupboards to build their nests and to lay their eggs and delivering their chirping young ones by hatching them in their nests. My garden’s trees became the Maternity homes for crows and Mynahs. In one summer, one pregnant cat entered into our house and even without getting my permission, turned one secret place of my house as its kitten delivering home and all of a sudden one day emerged as a proud Mother before me catching hold of one of her kittens in her mouth. One summer afternoon one fully pregnant cow reached my compound wall gate and just outside my gate delivered one beautiful young calf. Now also blue pigeons have selected my house’s washing area cupboards as their maternity home. Readers, reality is that before becoming a Mother to my twin children, with these living Mothers of so many animals and birds I played the role of a care taker or Friend. Helping these Non- speaking chirping, barking, noisy Mothers gave me too much of interest in my life.

So today I remember those loving Mothers on this Mother’s day. Our Prime Minister’s April 2017’s “Mann Ki Baat” had the mentioning of these tiny sparrows. This brought to my memory my house’s Mother Sparrows and their young ones, the Mother Sparrows’ hardships in taking care of the young ones and my help, care and service towards the sparrow Mothers in taking care of their children. I convey my thanks to our P.M. Today  on this Mothers Day I Share my life’s so many Mothers who may not be human beings like us but they are also the sacrificial Mothers of this Universe with you all my dear readers.

Terrific Tenants – Part II

My dear Talkative Tongue readers, you would have read my article Terrific Tenants Part-I. Now I am in front of you with my Part-II of that article.

Now I am in my house. The tenants who are the restless unrelenting but at the same time rentless cashless Pigeons, in the beginning they watched me and my activities by taking the place of visitors of my Balcony, my window, etc.etc. I started my life happily by keeping my windows open and enjoying the wind often. My house’s Tenants could not digest my happy life. First they occupied again my Balcony cupboards and disturbed the things which I was keeping in that Cupboard. In the Pretext of quarreling among themselves because they were nearly five to six in numbers they really rolled down the washing soaps, buckets, toothbrush keeping boxes etc.etc. I was also not ready to give up. I went on arranging the things and they went on collapsing everything.

Their Plea was this,” Dear Aunty, please let us start a new life in your Balcony. Please, we demand only your Balcony for our life Madam.

I replied,” No, No My Dear Pigeon tenants. I have only a very very small house. I am badly in need of my Balcony’s two precious cupboards to keep our washing connected things. You please search for another place for your life.

pigeon

But at last one day I had To Consent. I removed the things of one section of the Cupboard and the rentless, cashless tenants changed their status from visitors to Guests. They began to enter the Balcony at sharp 8 o’clock Morning and spent the whole day till 6 PM in that place freely. Then they slowly entered into the sitting room which is my Son Civil Engineering Student’s and my Husband Mathematics Professor’s private room. In the afternoon so many pigeons began to enter into my son’s room and began to fly here and there. So many times they had hectic, serious quarrels among themselves.  They sat on my son’s books, computer and laptop and in the evenings they even began to threaten my son and disturb my son by flying here and there and collapsing the arrangements. My Son really got shocked on this adamant occupation of our tenants.

If he really kept the window closed to avoid them, they began to make louder noises in which they requested my son.” Dear Brother Please, let us sit for a while in your room. We won’t collapse your things brother.”

By entering into our Bedroom also in the number seven or eight they put a brake on the operation of the fan. The whole bedroom it’s cupboard all went into their total control. Now, we are in a pitiable condition in which we have to live in our house sharing our house in the daytime with our rentless tenants. Their warning is this,” Dear Owners if you are ready to allow us to share your house then only you can have a happy life keeping your windows and doors open and having wind and sunlight. If you are not ready to allow us in your house then you lead your life in closed doors and windows.”

Totally our small house’s 80% control is in the power of tenants and only 20% power is with us. For the name sake they are tenants but in reality they behave like owners because they have capacity to fly. As humans I can’t fly, I can only run here and there to chase them out of my house. So one of the reader of our Blog told me that they are Poor Birds restless and relentless!

I want to say, we are only poor human beings, who are restless but relenting. One thing is highly sure with pigeons they are highly unrelenting. You can tackle any bird but can’t tackle a pigeons. Pigeons always want to share the living places of human beings. They want to keep themselves in our category.

So now our not rent giving Terrific Tenants without my permission and with their threatening and loud noises and bitter sound quarrels have again challenged me with this warning, “ Aunty, if you feel highly uncomfortable and disturbed in tolerating us who are Terrific Tenants, you can shift your residence to some other new house. From 2005 to 2016, you left this house freely for us to live. This time also leave this house freely for us keeping the Kitchen window open like last time.”

So dear readers, do you have any ideas or advice for me who is now the powerless owner before the flying Tenants.

Terrific Tenants…

Before a few days in my blog you would have seen my “From Heaven To Home!”. In that piece I really wrote that my own house is already under occupation but the tenants are living there freely without paying the rent to me. Rentless tenants. They are the blue pigeons and little sparrows. Till now from 2005 to 2016 October both these birds community are freely living in my house with their families and children but I was not given rent at all. Innumerable child births also had happened. Now this month I am going to shift my residence from my present residence to our own residence. So this week the house cleaning and the “ Welcome Ceremony” all were done with grand success. My rentless tenants were kept away from this function cautiously. Till the function ended, my tenants kept them in the sunshades and neighborhood building places and even in the windows of my house and were watching all the proceedings with care and concern and worry. Meetings also were convened in their groups. “What to do now? Owners of the house will throw us away from this house?” At last one blue pigeon entered into my sitting room courageously and began to fly here and there. The ceiling fan of that room was on and it was about to die getting crashed in that running ceiling fan. My kids saved its life by switching off the fan at the perfect needed time. My twin children’s’ timely and clever action saved its life. Then the blue pigeon our tenant began to fly inside the whole house indirectly telling me ,” Aunty, Please don’t ask us to go out of your house. We don’t have any comfortable place in this winter to live with our tiny tots. Please we also will stay in this house but we promise we won’t interfere in your life with our young one. We will also live in your this house but without noise or quarrels with you or with our family members. Please Aunty let us stay here. Please Aunty don’t throw us away”.

I asked, “So you tried to commit suicide in our running ceiling fan to threaten and to compel me to accept your request.”

Blue Pigeon

Blue Pigeon:Sorry Aunty. Please forgive me. I could not find any other idea other than this suicide idea to convince you.”

I: No, Blue Pigeons and Sparrows. See, these ten long years you were living in my house freely. I did not get any rent from you. Now I am badly in need of this house. I don’t have any other house for me except this own house. So you shift your family to neighbourhood buildings. I won’t allow you to stay in my tiny house. For my things themselves I don’t have enough place in this tiny house then how is it possible to keep tenants and their families in this house? Go away my friend.”

The Blue Pigeon again started to fly. It went into the kitchen and kept itself behind the water Syntex(Water Tank) which has been kept and fixed in the kitchen Attic. From that Syntex of the kitchen attic water connections also have been given to all the rooms and my house. The blue Pigeon sat comfortably behind the syntex. I and my son began war and efforts to take it away from that place. My daughter in her utter fear kept herself in the bedroom. She kept herself away from our mission of chasing the Rentless tenant away from our house. But all our efforts went in vain.

What happened at last? The blue Pigeon told me from its hiding place which is behind the big syntex :”Aunty, I see empty place here behind the syntex. You won’t keep anything here. We all can use this place as our residence. We will have safety and security here. We can lead a highly peaceful, secured life in this unused place of your house. Aunty  please allow us to stay in this unused area of your tiny house. “

You see readers This is my Personal experience. At last those clever highly intelligent, cunning Rentless tenants of my own house captured and occupied the secret, empty secured area which is behind the water syntex  and adamantly refused to leave my house. Now itself my house is under occupation of the tenants. The washing area is also under occupation of sparrows. So please my friends be careful of these non rent giving free tenants of our loving precious residences.
Mumbaiyaas (People Of Mumbai) only can live even in the attics. Rajkotians( People of Rajkot)  can’t live in the attic of a house. So my house is under the capture of Mumbaiyaas( Mumbai people type blue pigeons and tiny sparrows).
I am longing for Independence. Have any Ideas?

From Heaven To Home!

Shifting the residence is really a serious task in each and every human being’s Life. From a solitary, lonely private and noiseless, silent area and house locality I am going to live in a highly crowded always noisy, traffic filled up and public area where my house itself will not enjoy the privacy. From No visitors, No disturbance house I am going to start a life in always visitors, 24 hours disturbance small house. My mind can’t avoid the comparison between the present residence and the future residence. I feel unknown pain in my belly whenever I think and feel that, only up to October 31 I can be in the present heaven. My present heaven is a sprawling bungalow with a vast garden at four sides. It is undoubtedly a three bedroom vast mansion with plenty of water, plants, vast beautiful balconies and a beautiful big lonely terrace, in comparison with my present heaven I can say courageously that my future abode is like a hell and a hut in the area. The present heaven is a Government owned Government Mansion. The future residence is a hell and a small hut of one bedroom flat and it is my own flat and my own house. So from Government mansion I am shifting my living to my own hut. Plenty of Problems, plenty of noises and plenty of difficulties are waiting eagerly for me there.

Now the packing of things work is going on but with unhappiness and sadness in my heart. Some panic feeling arises in my heart on my thinking of my life at that one bedroom flat of my own.
Am I really alone in my lovely mansion? To speak frankly I have a lot of friends here. But my friends can’t speak or laugh. Yes my garden’s innumerable trees and plants and the singing, flying and chirping happy birds are my own friends. I really feel sadness in my heart when I think of leaving my flying friends and huge green trees in this place itself. Can our friends come to our new home which is a hut? Now my little hut is under occupation for 10 long years.  Without giving any rent some families have kept my own house as their own residence and are living there happily. Blue Pigeons are the tenants of my home and after my entry into that home we both will share that small abode. When we are leaving this birds filled trees filled Government mansion after my husband’s retirement from this Job and are entering into our new house forever, I remember the Poem,
The Woodcutter’s Night Song” of J. CLARE.
” Welcome, red and roundy sun,
Dropping lowly in the west;
Now my hard day’s work is done,
I’m as happy as the best.
Joyful are the thoughts of home,
Now I’m ready for my chair,
So, till morrow-morning’s come,
Bill and Mittens, lie ye there!
Though to leave your pretty song,
Little birds, it gives me pain,
Yet to-morrow is not long,
Then I’m with you all again.

Joyful are the thoughts of home,
Now I’m ready for my chair,
So, till morrow-morning’s come,
Bill and Mittens, lie ye there!”

Whatever it may be whether the home is hell or heaven, entering into our home after finishing or accomplishing our hard task is really a treasure of happiness and peace. I am highly grateful to God for awarding me this peace , rest and plenty of happiness in my own house which I am going to occupy soon.
Here I remember one more poem which is of R.L. Stevenson.
The poet’s feeling is my real feeling now.
“ Wealth I ask not, Hope nor Love,
Not a friend to know me,
All I ask ,the heaven above,
And the Road below me.”

I am happily and hopefully waiting for the D-Day i.e. the Shifting Day.

Flying Friends…

I fondly call the Birds as my Dear friends. In my loneliness, in my solitude, I feel Birds as my real companions. My little friends who are winged creatures are undoubtedly more powerful than me. The Reason is they can fly but I can’t fly. Human beings also fly but by sitting in the Aeroplanes, helicopters or rockets or other flying vehicles. Till date human race can’t move from place to place by flying with their own body or wings. I used to watch the little wonderful creatures of God by sitting in my chair in front of my writing table. Then I decided to catch their attention towards me and wanted to make me as their friend. I began to supply their sole food grains daily both in the Mornings and In the Evenings. Really the expected wonder happened. The little birds noticed the scattered grains in my garden and became the regular visitor to my house and garden. They even began to watch me also and began to wait for my arrival to the garden with a cup full of grains. In the beginning due to some hesitation and fear they did sudden move on seeing me in the garden even though they knew fully that I was there only for supply of their food.

After some Months, they dropped their idea of flying away on seeing me instead tried keeping themselves behind the trees of my garden. As soon as I left the place spreading the grains in my garden, they rushed speedily to the spot and tried to grasp the grain as far as possible of their beak. My friends don’t belong to one community or type only. So many types of birds became my friends and began to engage my time highly interestingly and joyfully. They used to talk among themselves but I could not comprehend their language. But I used to talk with them in Hindi.

The most Tiny size, the most finest size friend who is sparrow only tried to take advantage over my love by trying always to sit in the window of the room through which I used to watch them. Even some sparrows entered into my room itself and began to watch me by sitting on the ceiling fan and tube light. The other friends really got suspicious over the bold move of the sparrows. Among them I could Definitely say that the sparrows were the Happiest birds and the Pigeons were the most Sorrowful birds. I began to do research over the white and the Blue Pigeons by watching them particularly.

My Maid Servant told me one very big truth about the Pigeon’s food habits one day. My servant maid told me that “Juwar” grain is the highly favourite grain of the Pigeons and Pigeons don’t relish with full heart the “Bajra and Rice”. “Bajra and Rice” are the favourites of the Sparrows, Cuckoos, Mainahs, Crows and Some Jungli birds who come in the gathering of at least Twenties always for eating. Then I really purchased “Juwar” and spread “Juwar” for the Pigeons. All these attempts I really did to make and see the Pigeons(Big and the Young Ones) happy and carefree.

I took almost all the possible steps for the happy face and flying of my gardens Pigeons.
One day Two Blue Pigeons entered into my reading room via window and on the tube light first and then moved into the loft of that room. They began to watch me continuously and seriously from that loft and I surely knew that they were demanding my permission for their stay in my Study room’s loft. So at last on that day I came to know of the reason for the Sorrowful face of the pigeons.
The reason was Lack of Accommodation!
